In this new lecture performance at Yale School of Architecture, Judith Raum deals with the textile workshop at the Bauhaus at the transition to National Socialism in Germany. Through projected imagery, text and sculptural actions, Anni and the Feline is all about certain textile material that has long been believed to be lost and was rediscovered by the artist, such as lace nets for the window, material that did not remain untouched by the changing political circumstances in Germany around 1933. The performance lecture also addresses the professional positioning of individual Bauhaus designers, such as Otti Berger and Lilly Reich, during the Third Reich.
The performance was presented as a key-note lecture during the symposium "My Bauhaus: Trans-medial encounters", Yale School of Architecture, November 2019
