Judith Raum / Contemporary Arts Library Services
Installation and lecture series at Frankfurter Kunstverein, 2008/09
Working with the Library Services Prishtina/Berlin raised questions about intellectual, political and economic cooperation, the frameworks for individual and institutional action, and structures of dependence and independence. The documents in the presentation throw light on power negotiations between collaborators within the project, processes of communication between artists and donors and moments of decision-making, chance and improvisation determining the collaborative work.
The central part of the presentation was a series of public lectures. Four international guests from the fields of sociology, developmental cooperation, architecture and art who had all been involved in the project in the past were invited for discussions with me: Celine Condorelli (London), Kerstin Meyer, Elke Marhöfer (both Berlin) as well as Sezgin Boynik (at the time Prishtina/Istanbul).
